I do this because I truly care. I want to enable change in people’s lives. Help you become who you aspire to be.

Nakul as a coach

I started coaching fitness 6 years ago when I saw a gap in the requirement of people for movement & training with a purpose vs some random movements to “sweat it out” and ‘feel the burn”. Starting of as a CrossFit coach, I opened a CrossFit studio India, called ‘CrossFit Create’; later ‘Create Strength’ in the heart of Delhi.

Coaching more than 1000 clients (being personally involved with each & every one of them and not people who’ve downloaded readymade templates online) all these years, building wonderful communities I always wanted to explore the human condition more and delve deeper into what being “healthy” truly means.

For me knowledge is half the battle, applying yourself, experimenting, observing is a key to become a GREAT coach. So after numerous courses, books, seminars, always experimenting with my practice, exploring with my clients and honestly practicing what I preach - I have now come to be a “Health/Lifestyle Coach”.

Behavioural coaching through Movement, Nutrition, Sleep and Mindset, slowly and steadily through long term, sustainable changes to help you lead a healthy & a happy life.

The biggest role I play is removing stress from one aspect of your life. Your health. I become your “Personal Health Concierge”. All your problems are mine. I am the safe space, the judgment free zone, the patient Jedi master who’ll look out for you and show you the path. This isn’t your traditional masochistic coaching where the onus is on you with the cliched “Go hard go home”, “No pain no gain” quotes. It’s about finding balance and slowly chipping away.

Nakul as a human

Growing up I always loved sports, outdoors and adventure.

At a very young age, my family shifted to Japan and the schooling there got me involved in all sorts of co-curricular activities. Within a year, I was biking around town, catching insects to study them, growing my own vegetables, became the fastest runner in my batch, part of the swimming and dodgeball team, you get the gist.

When we shifted back to India, there was a huge shift in lifestyle. From being so active & independent to becoming very restricted & sedentary due to infrastructure and of course society. While I continued playing sports and going on small local adventures on my bicycle, the change in lifestyle made me put on many pounds. So while I was “fit” and still a part of my football team all through middle/high school, I became a chubby kid and my confidence took a big hit.

In the summer of 2011, I went on a 30day outdoor experiential program - self sustained biking and camping throughout the 1000miles of American west coast from Seattle to San Francisco. The camp was a major turning point in my life where I discovered many things about myself, what my body and mind are capable of, what I aspire to be amongst other things. That’s when I also decided to switch my high school majors from science to business as I wanted to pursue leadership and management.

My first year pursuing my bachelors at Business School, I failed the try-outs of the college football team because I was unfit. Thus started my “fat-fit” journey.

First year was all about running on the beach. Second year I joined the gym alternating days. Third year I discovered CrossFit. Over time I got so involved with CrossFit that after returning back home, while working full time as a strategic consultant, I would spend two hours every morning at my nearby CrossFit gym before work. I changed my diet and lifestyle around it. That’s when I started to notice the power of healthy living and a supportive community.

Thus, came the decision of quitting my corporate job (which I very much enjoyed) and pursue what I was truly passionate about.

One thing that’s truly stuck with me all these years is adventure, outdoors and trying new things. Over the years I’ve tried my hand at:

  • Gymnastics

  • Olympic Weightlifting

  • Boxing

  • Rock Climbing

  • Advanced Certified Scuba Diver

  • Surfing

  • Triathlons

  • Rafting

  • Backpacking

  • Hiking

  • Cliff Jumping

  • Stand-up paddling

Apart from this I love spending time alone and with people near and dear to me. I also lead outdoor experiential programs for all age groups. I love reading books - from fiction, to philosophy, from spirituality to history, The life, the universe and everything. Apart from this I’m very dedicated to my meditative practice, sudoku and sometimes just not doing anything.

For me life as I see it is about living consciously, having no regrets, being disciplined, looking inwards and just being happy and having fun along the way.

I can help.

Listen

When it comes to health, a one size fits all approach doesn’t work. Every individual is very different to the other. Even identical twins aren’t identical. Which is why I listen. To you. Your background. History. Life. Everything. Each and every detail is important, for me to really understand who you are, where you come from and how to help you.

Collaborate

It is very easy to tell someone to what to do. It’s tough to work with someone. When we work together, it’ll be together. It won’t be an autocracy. It will be a democracy. At each step you’ll have choices, options. You’ll be the one in charge of your health, your path. I’ll just be tagging along the way to guide you when needed.

Educate & Empower

The goal is to make you independent at the end of our journey. So that once we’re done, you’re basics are clear. You know the WHY’s. In the driving seat of not only your health but your life. The day you feel you are ready to embark alone, I’ll be the one cheering the loudest. Last thing I want is for you to be dependent on me. I want to educate & empower YOU.
